Laura and Peter – Wedding Video Trailer

I just loved creating Laura and Peter’s wedding video trailer. Not only was their Scottsdale wedding stunning, but also they really managed to do it ‘their way’. Breaking from the normal wedding flow they scheduled their day at the Four Seasons Resort to start early and end early so guests could make flights back home before another week of work began. How cool is that?

In place of a traditional later evening Jewish wedding ceremony they choose to host the ceremony in the early afternoon. Following the ceremony they had tons of time for photography as well as just time to relax!

I think one of my favorite things about Laura and Peter’s early wedding was the reception. I’m not sure why, maybe it was that everyone just had a ton of energy, but the dancing was non-stop and wild!

In this trailer…
Keep an eye out for all of the amazing slow-motion shots. Shot in true High Definition, each slow motion shot is true slow-mo just like the movies and they are stunning to watch. I also loved Laura’s bouquet, created by Cactus Flower, there’s a shot of them you can also be on the look out for.

A Rack Focus

What is a rack focus? It’s a shot where the camera starts out focused on one item either, say in the background of the then switches to become focused on an item in the foreground of the shot. As simple as this concept sounds, it’s not the easiest thing to accomplish during a wedding, but our experienced team constantly practices and has perfected this art.

Here Stacy shares a great example of a rack focus during a wedding reception. Not only is the rack focus perfectly executed, but notice the subtly changes in lighting that take place as the camera moves from the candle to the dance floor reveling the party goers. Also a great thing to note about this shot is the fantastic lighting of the dance floor. We take great pains to subtly add light to a reception hall without being distracting or shining lights in the eyes of you or your guests!

Drawing you in

The shot that Stacy shares here is one that will really draw you in. The camera starts out focused on one item either, say in the background of the then switches to become focused on an item in the foreground of the shot. Our experienced team constantly practices and has perfected this particular way of drawing you into the shot.

Notice the subtly changes in lighting that take place as the camera moves from the candle to the dance floor reveling the party goers. Also a great thing to note about this shot is the fantastic lighting of the dance floor. We take great pains to subtly add light to a reception hall without being distracting or shining lights in the eyes of you or your guests!
