Heard Museum + Brophy Chapel = Purely Amazing

Elena and Jeff’s wedding is a favorite with the whole My Wedding Film gang. The ceremony was at beautiful Brophy Chapel and the reception was held at the Heard Museum.  The event was extremely classy yet modern! Elena’s planner, Cicely Rocha-Miller of Life Design Event Planning did a fantastic job (as usual)!

My 3 favorite things about Elena and Jeff’s trailer are:

Keep an eye out for:

1. Elena’s timeless Monique Llhulier dress and veil which were gorgeous.
2. The balcony at Brophy Chapel – it allowed us to shoot from a really fun high angle.
3. Ollie the Trolly! I loved the ‘mass transportation’ of the wedding party!

Getting the most out of a Wedding Film Investment:

There are many things you can do to help make sure your film is as great as it should be – and we like to highlight one of those things every once in a while. Today’s tip is really easy and pretty simple:

Take it slow.
After you’ve been announced as husband and wife, there is no hurry! Take your time and kiss your new spouse a few times. Hug your parents and grandparents, you wouldn’t have made it down the aisle with out them. High five your buddies as you walk past them. No one will be rushing you off the stage, so enjoy the spotlight and relish the moment!

So how does this help make a better wedding film? It really give a fun insight into your brand new marriage and relationship by giving the camera’s some air time to show you really reveling in the fact that you just got MARRIED!!

There’s a lot going on during your wedding ceremony, and by the end of the night it’ll just feel like one huge blur. So make the most of the moments you have and your wedding film will be all the better for it!

A Short and Sweet Shot

I asked the My Wedding Film team recently if they’d share a simple but beautiful shot from their current film. Laura, one of our creative film editors, sent me this cute shot and I loved it!

Here’s why:

1. It’s from the first dance, which is one of my favorite moments of the wedding day.
2. The camera is moving, which adds to that Hollywood feel.
3. It’s from a DC Ranch wedding, and I love the reception courtyard there.

wrigley mansion + stylish couple = double the fun

I LOVED Tom and Donna’s vintage styled wedding. With a throw back feel to the big band era it had all the makings of a true hollywood shindig. The elegant Wrigley Mansion was the perfect setting for this hip-vintage wedding!

My 3 favorite things about Tom and Donna’s trailer are:

1. The feathers in her bouquet. She also used them in the center pieces and I loved it!
2. The ceremony location with it’s tiered seating.
3. The cake, it was really fun while being really simple at the same time.

That’s how I feel about Jenna and Philip’s wedding. The chic Hotel Valley Ho is the perfect backdrop and compliment to their fun and unique personalities!

My 3 favorite things about Jenna and Philip’s trailer are:

1. The rooftop ceremony. It took place during sunset, which was so fun because of the view!
2. Her veil. Just wait till you see it. It totally fits her personality and the atmosphere of Valley Ho!
3. The ultra dynamic centerpieces.

Alexis Del Chairo and Sean Marshall’s Wedding Trailer

She’s a gorgeous Phoenix news anchor and he’s a Chicago Cubs pitcher. Talk about a storybook wedding!
