I love being able to spotlight the personalities of Arizona’s best wedding vendors and to give engaged couples a little insight into the people they’ll spend so much time with on their wedding day!
Today’s spotlight is on Cicely Rocha-Miller of Life Design Event Planning. Cicely is sassy and funny, it’s one of the reasons her clients love her so much!
In this mini interview I asked Cicely to share a memory of the first ‘event’ she ever planned. It’s about 30 seconds long, so enjoy!

One of Those Weeks!
Busy is an understatement.
We’re off to shoot a big Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine event today (being designed by Victoria Canada) – I’ll be creating some classic mini-commercials for them. It’s bound to be uber fun, but it means no new venue hot spot today.
Instead, here’s a cute little photo my husband and I took last week!
Rock on, everyone!
Grayhawk Golf Club – Wedding Film Trailer
sunset wedding + mad dance skills = enormously fun wedding
I found out we’d be shooting Rebecca and Dane’s wedding two days before the big day. That’s what I call last minute! So going into this wedding, I had no idea how much fun it was going to be! To give you a taste, they met over jello shots and it only got crazier from there.
The entire wedding was held at the beautiful north Scottsdale golf club, Grayhawk. Grawhawk holds a special place in my heart, because one of the first weddings I every went to was also held there!
The photographer was Micheal Fragale of MHF Photography, and he did a fabulous job of getting all of the photos in before the sun disappeared!
My 3 favorite things about Dane and Rebecca’s trailer are:
1. The quaint and intimate lawn the ceremony was held on.
2. Rebecca – every chance she had she was dancing her heart out.
3. The sunglasses they wore for the grand introduction.

Wedding Hot Spot – Wrigley Mansion in March
![]()
I adore the Wrigley Mansion. Here in Arizona, we don’t have as many ‘old’ or vintage buildings as you might find back east, so when I get to visit a historic site I always swoon. Built in the 1930’s by the Chicago Cubs Wrigley Family, the mansion is chalk full of history.
So take a minute and check out today’s Hot Spot film of The Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix to see if it might be the perfect place for your wedding! This one’s a few short clips from a full wedding at The Wrigley Mansion in the month of March.
Keep an eye out for:
•The view! The house was built on a 100 foot knoll overlooking the valley and the Arizona Biltmore Resort.
•The wonderful greenery and flowers.
•The fun and unique ceremony location and set up.

Speed date Melissa Lewis of Table Tops Etc as she spills the beans.
Melissa has owned and operated the upscale floral and decor company Table Tops Etc since 2003. She is not only delightful to hang out with, but also happens to be wildly talented.

The Wrigley Mansion – Wedding Film Trailer
the wrigley mansion + the month of march = delightful
I love the Wrigley Mansion. It was built in the 30’s, but exudes modern sophistication too.
Arielle and Austin’s wedding was simply beautiful – and she looks like a supermodel! I hope you enjoy these two minutes of eye candy as much as I did!

Wedding Genius – Ray the DJ
Ray Grace of Ray the DJ has been in the wedding DJ business for a very long time, and has earned a solid reputation of bringing music perfection to weddings.
I asked Ray what he’d be doing if he couldn’t be a DJ, and without a second’s delay he told me what his second dream job would be:

Wedding Hot Spot – Sanctuary on Camelback
![]()
This Week’s Wedding Venue Hot Spot Is Sanctuary on Camelback – In Paradise Valley.
Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain is, in one word, breathtaking. The views of the mountain are extraordinary, as are the views from it. It’s a modern styled resort and spa with plenty of hidden nooks and crannies to satisfy any photo op!

A few of my favorite features are:
* The ultra modern design of the entire resort.
* The view of the mountain, it really doesn’t get better than that.
* The two different ceremony locations. One is a lush green lawn and the other a beautiful stone patio overlooking the lawn.
This Hot Spot film is about a minute and a half long and will show you how a Patio wedding looks at the Sanctuary Resort.
P.S. You may catch a glimpse of David DeDios, the photographer at the wedding, and Aleasha Shelton, the planner who made it all happen!
