Royal Palms Wedding Trailer in May
royal palms + touches of blue = lovely
Royal Palms is dreamy. In Arizona there are numerous premier wedding venues and the Royal Palms is one of my favorites. It has a rich historical background dating back to Arizona’s roots.
Oh and the food there is to die for, seriously their chef, Lee Hillson, was on the Food Network Show “Iron Chef America”.
Tamara and Samuel’s wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings of the year. Tamara’s maid of honor (Courtney Peretz) doubled as a bridal attendant and her liaison with the resort and helped the day come off flawlessly. Courtney is one of the Royal Palms coordinators and it was a blast to see her in a bridesmaid dress!
My favorite things about Tamara and Samuel’s trailer are:
1. The color blue carried throughout the entire wedding.
2. The shot of their wedding rings.
3. The shot of Tamara’s dad carrying AJ up the aisle, it is really precious.
Other great wedding vendors of the day were.

Groom’s Toast
Giving A Toast At Your Own Wedding
I love when couples give a toast at their own wedding. It gives them the opportunity to thank their parents and families for raising and loving them. It also allows them to show gratitude for those who have traveled long distances to be present at their ‘destination’ wedding. I love hearing both the planned and unplanned thoughts they share.
This short clip is from a wedding where the both the bride and groom were very funny and clever people. His toast still cracks me up. This little clip only gets to show a portion of it, but I’m sure it’ll have you laughing too.
And you can always browse through some of our films for more examples of great wedding toasts.
How to maximize your wedding film part 2
Getting the most out of a Wedding Film Investment:
There are many things you can do to help make sure your film is as great as it should be – and we like to highlight one of those things every once in a while. Today’s tip is really easy and pretty simple:
Take it slow.
After you’ve been announced as husband and wife, there is no hurry! Take your time and kiss your new spouse a few times. Hug your parents and grandparents, you wouldn’t have made it down the aisle with out them. High five your buddies as you walk past them. No one will be rushing you off the stage, so enjoy the spotlight and relish the moment!
So how does this help make a better wedding film? It really give a fun insight into your brand new marriage and relationship by giving the camera’s some air time to show you really reveling in the fact that you just got MARRIED!!
There’s a lot going on during your wedding ceremony, and by the end of the night it’ll just feel like one huge blur. So make the most of the moments you have and your wedding film will be all the better for it!

Wedding Venue – Royal Palms
You probably don’t have time to visit every venue you might be thinking of, and pictures can’t always tell the full story. So to help you out, we’re going to try to give you the next best thing in venue selection – video, of course!
If The Royal Palms is on your list, you’re in luck today because we’ve put together some shots from different weddings there for you.
Keep an eye out for:
•The beautiful foliage that is such a part of the Royal Palms design.
•The fountains that dot the property.
•The two very unique and intimate ceremony sites.
•The area the cocktail hour is hosted on. I’m a huge fan of this because of the large water feature that runs through the middle and creates such a peaceful atmosphere.
•Beautiful photo (and film) opportunities. Based off of an Italian Villa, there are nooks and crannies all over the place.
This is an ideal location for both those looking to host their entire wedding in one place (both ceremony and reception) and for those wanting only a reception site.
Tell us in the comments where you’re thinking of having your wedding – we’ve probably shot there before and might add it to this series. And if you have questions about how to maximize your venue for a wedding film, you can always shoot us a question. (We’re not kidding when we say Mary is a go-to-gal!)

7 Great Wedding Tips plus a killer wedding trailer
7 great wedding tips along with Ben and Lexi’s Wedding Video Trailer
Have you ever wondered why some weddings just seem to stand out? I know I have. As I was getting this post ready I thought of 7 ideas, tips, whatever you want to call them to help aid you in your wedding planning.
1. If you can, work with a wedding planner. Even if it’s just for the day of the wedding. They will help calm your nerves.
2. Planning a wedding in a warm state like Arizona takes some careful maneuvering. Be sure to have plenty of water bottles available to your guests. Trust me, they’ll appreciate it!
3. Write your own vows. Now I know this can be a hard one for some people, but with a little effort and some help from family and friends you can come up with vows that everyone will remember.
4. Consider scraping traditions that don’t mean anything to you. Just because everyone else does it doesn’t mean you have to. One great example is from a recent wedding where in lieu of a wedding cake Jeff and Elena opted for a Gelato Bar!
5. Make the wedding party size fit you. Trust me, you don’t have to include every cousin, aunt or sorority sister you’ve ever had into your wedding party. Keep it manageable. You can still include these special people into your wedding by having them ready scripture or poems during the ceremony.
6. On site makeup and hair. This I highly recommend. It makes life sooo much easier for everyone, the less you have to drive around on your wedding day with your bridal party the better!
7. Have fun, don’t rush the detail moments. Enjoy the first kiss, enjoy the walk up and down the aisle, no one is going to be annoyed if you hug and kiss and high five everyone on your way down the aisle, it’s your time.
Do you have any great wedding tips? I’d love to share them on this blog. If so just add them in a comment and I’ll add them to the blog with a credit and link to you!
Okay now on to Ben and Lexi’s wedding trailer.
Ben and Lexi’s wedding took place at the Royal Palms Resort. If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s amazing. I mean knock your socks off amazing. It’s not huge and not small and they way it is built makes every little nook and cranny feel inviting and secluded. It’s a really sweet place and I’m so glad Lexi and Ben choose it for their wedding.
On of my favorite things about Ben and Lexi’s Scottsdale wedding was the general feeling. It was so apparent from the get go that Ben just adored Lexi. Having that feeling surrounding them made the whole day magical. They were seriously so sweet together.
